Prism AUNZ announces new hires and client wins

WPP and MediaCom sports entertainment and sponsorship agency, Prism AUNZ has announced a number of new hires to its national team, following a number of new business wins.

The agency said following several competitive pitches, Prism has been awarded business from Bankwest, Uber, eBay, Mitsubishi and the Victorian Government.

The work with these clients has primarily been in the property evaluation and strategy area, as well as working on partnership negotiation and project management.

Among the new hires is Dan Collier-Hill, who will take up the role of strategy director, leading all strategic projects, data, and insights work and property evaluations for Prism AUNZ clients. He joins from Kore software, where he was commercial and strategy director.

Rennie Gilchrist has been hired as senior partnerships and commercial manager, leading across BP & Supercars, Cricket, KFC and AFL/AFLW. Rennie was recently commercial manager at Melbourne Storm.

Nick Verhelst is joining from the Sydney Swans football club, as partnership director to lead the partnership team, and Virginia Clarke is the new partnership manager. Clarke joins from SEL where she was partnership director. She will lead across work with Vodafone/cricket, KFC, and NRL/cricket.

Shannan Quinn, managing director at Prism AUNZ said that these hires are intrinsic in enabling the agency to service its clients at a higher level.

“I am beyond exiting to welcome Dan, Nick, Rennie and Virginia to the PRISM AUNZ team. All of them bring a unique and different skill set to the business and have amazing experience and contacts in the industry which will only further bolster our capabilities.”

Quinn said that with the new business wins, and the agency’s growth trajectory, it is an exciting time for the new hires to be joining the agency.

Prism also says that despite COVID-19 affecting some of its client’s planned activities, it has experienced significant growth in the past 18 months.

All appointments are effective immediately.

Prism AUNZ is regional division of MediaCom’s Sport and Entertainment global team. Willie Pang was replaced earlier this year as regional CEO of MediaCom by Yaron Farizon. Pang moved into the role of Managing director of GroupM Services, before revealing last month that he will be departing the network to join tech startup, Limepay.
