Pure Blonde returns to Brewtopia

The third instalment of Pure Blonde’s Brewtopia series of ads has been launched online.

The latest ad, from Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, sees an intrepid duo trek to Brewtopia, only to bring down the paradise thanks to their oafish ways.

The ad was directed by Paul Middleditch, whose previous credits include The Big Ad and more recently Carlton Draight’s Slo Mo, and shot over five days  in Slovenia. It was posted to the brand’s 30,000 strong Facebook page overnight and also onto YouTube this morning. Social media seeding is being handled by The Conscience Organisation.  

The ad will launch on TV in a week’s time with a 90 second version, with 60 second and 30 second versions to follow. In keeping with the big screen style of the ad, it will also run in cinemas.

Group marketing manager Richard Oppy, told Mumbrella: “The humour comes from the collision of the two worlds. We’re stoked with the end result. We used Paul Middleditch because we wanted a director who had shot the epic style before and also understands comedy.”

Oppy said it remained to be seen whether Brewtopia will return for a foruth instalment. he said: ‘The question is: can we rebuild Brewtopia, or is it time for a new idea? That’s our big challenge.”
