Qantas unveils new ‘Feels Like Home’ ad as it partners with Spotify to create playlist
Qantas has unveiled the latest ad in its ‘Feels Like Home’ campaign that feature real reunion stories of Australians travelling home.
The new ad features new parents Melinda and Iker who live in Hong Kong and have a small baby, Alexo. Melinda grew up in Sydney and is looking forward to introducing him to his grandmother back home in Australia. It follows Melinda and Alexo’s journey from Hong Kong and home to Sydney where she is met by her mum in the Sydney International Airport arrivals hall.

The campaign has seen the airline partner with Spotify to offer people the opportunity to share songs that make them feel like home.
All of the songs are displayed on an interactive map of Australia.
Qantas launched the ‘Feels Like Home’ campaign in November last year
The airline’s first 60-second spot focused on Alice, a 27-year-old Adelaide woman who has lived and worked in London for the three years, and is greeted by her mum and sister at the airport. The second spot tracks seven-year-old Charlotte who has been holidaying with her grandparents in Los Angeles as she flies home to see her parents in Brisbane.
According to Qantas, since the launch of the campaign, the two minute TV ad has achieved 2.3m views across the airline’s digital channels.
The campaign has been created by Lawrence Creative Strategy.
Hmmm…..dunno about this.

Nice ad, well executed.
Less convinced about the Spotify partnership…. Most Spotify listeners are dormant on page / in app, only listening to their music as opposed to eyeballing their screens.
Can’t see why I’d rather share a song in-app than on FB.

dont mind the ad – the spotify playlist is a bit of a stretch. Will be surprised if that gets much traction with the punters
