Qantas unveils new ‘Feels Like Home’ ad as it partners with Spotify to create playlist

Qantas has unveiled the latest ad in its ‘Feels Like Home’ campaign that feature real reunion stories of Australians travelling home.

The new ad features new parents Melinda and Iker who live in Hong Kong and have a small baby, Alexo. Melinda grew up in Sydney and is looking forward to introducing him to his grandmother back home in Australia. It follows Melinda and Alexo’s journey from Hong Kong and home to Sydney where she is met by her mum in the Sydney International Airport arrivals hall.

The campaign has seen the airline partner with Spotify to offer people the opportunity to share songs that make them feel like home.

Qantas launched the ‘Feels Like Home’ campaign in November last year

The airline’s first 60-second spot focused on Alice, a 27-year-old Adelaide woman who has lived and worked in London for the three years, and is greeted by her mum and sister at the airport. The second spot tracks seven-year-old Charlotte who has been holidaying with her grandparents in Los Angeles as she flies home to see her parents in Brisbane.

According to Qantas, since the launch of the campaign, the two minute TV ad has achieved 2.3m views across the airline’s digital channels.

The campaign has been created by Lawrence Creative Strategy.
