Final radio ratings of 2023: As Sydney slows down, it slaps on smoothfm

The final radio survey of the year has seen smoothfm come within 0.1% of KIIS in the Sydney market, and hit its highest-ever cumulative listenership.

Kyle and Jackie O may have taken a commanding 16.7% in Breakfast, ahead of Ben Fordham on 2GB, who took 16% – but it seems as work slows down and summer heats up, Sydney has moved the dial towards smoothfm at other times during the day.

Smooth saw its highest-ever cumulative listenership this survey, with 1,368,000 listeners – an increase of 45,000. The station is #1 overall in Afternoons, Drive, and across weekends, and top FM station in Mornings and Evenings.
