Ratings: AGT wins primetime while Today beats Sunrise at breakfast again

The Australia’s Got Talent juggernaut continued on Tuesday with a winning audience for the night of 1.847m for Seven.

Seven achieved a massive 30.7% share – more than double that of its rival Nine’s 15.1%

Ten’s Masterchef also had a strong showing with 1.559m viewers according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.

Meanwhile, the quadruple bill of The Big Bang Theory on offer from the Nine Network fared less strongly. The 7pm and 7.30pm episodes on Nine rated 947,000 and 832,000. The 8.30pm and 9pm episodes on Go rated 230,000 and 229,000.  

Seven’s Australian-made drama Winners & Losers rated a healthy 1.404m. By contrast, Nine’s network-produced Sea Patrol fared far worse, pulling in an anaemic 666,000 despite running in an earlier timeslot.

However, there was better news for Nine in the morning schedule with Today beating Sunrise again  – by 367,000 to 360,000.
