REA Group’s Paul Bates joins Cartology in newly created role

REA Group’s national sales group Paul Bates has been nabbed by Cartology, where he joins in a newly created role of general manager – agency sales.

The announcement:

Cartology has appointed REA Group’s Paul Bates in the newly created role of general manager – agency sales, leading the national agency sales team.

Paul joins Cartology with a proven track record of commercial and sales success through over 25 years in advertising and media including his most recent role of national sales director – media and content at REA Group.

Commencing his role at Cartology this month, Paul will report into director of sales and client partnerships – Robbie Hills.

Commenting on the appointment, Robbie Hills says: “We’re excited to have our agency sales teams under Paul’s leadership.

“Paul’s leadership and expertise in digital, data and tech will bolster the agency team, supporting our agency proposition and future growth ambitions. Through our agency proposition, we’re doubling down on unlocking Cartology insights to get brands even closer to customers through off-network and ensuring we put the smarts of retail media into retail out of home, delivering the right customers through the right solutions.”

Paul will lead the recently appointed agency sales team at Cartology.

Commenting on his new role at Cartology, Paul says: “I have watched Cartology from the sidelines over the last four years, leading the rapidly evolving retail media landscape and the opportunity to be part of this space really inspires me.

The announcement comes as Cartology together with Shopper, brings brands closest to customers.
