Red Engine’s national general manager Kate Richardson exits

Kate Richardson, the national general manager of Red Engine, is set to depart at the end of the week.

Richardson joined the agency five years ago as its agency director and head of strategy before being promoted to the role of national general manager in May this year.

Richardson joined Red Engine in 2012

“It’s been a brilliant ride from the start-up I joined five years ago, to the agency we’ve built today. I’m taking a well earned break, doing some travel and then looking forward to exploring new things in 2018,” Richardson said in a statement to Mumbrella.

In a LinkedIn post, Richardson said: “After five years and nearly 450 flights back and forth to Sydney, this marks the end of an era at Red Engine, and the start of my next adventure.

“Taking a few months off to regenerate and travel before seeing where 2018 takes me. Here’s to new possibilities and the next chapter.”

Before joining the digital creative agency, Richardson was Ten’s national strategy director for two years.

She has also held positions at Naked Communications, UM and Sydney Opera House.

It is unclear who will be replacing Richardson as Red Engine’s national general manager.
