Red Zed signs on as major partner of the Melbourne Storm

Loan specialist Red Zed Lending Solutions has become a major partner of NRL team the Melbourne Storm.

The announcement:

New era for RedZed as it becomes the major partner to the Melbourne Storm

RedZed Lending Solutions, a loan specialist for the self-employed, has revealed that it has become the major partner to the Melbourne Storm, one of the most dominant clubs in the National Rugby League since it was founded in 1998. RedZed will be on the front of Storm’s home and away jerseys and training kit for at least the next two seasons.

RedZed Managing Director Evan Dwyer said, “RedZed is absolutely delighted to partner with the Melbourne Storm, one of the most successful, respected and professional organisations in Australia.

“With their huge, engaged fan-base this is a fantastic opportunity to bring RedZed to the self- employed business owners of Australia. We will be able to present our brand to millions more people through the Storm’s social and TV audiences across the whole of the east coast.”

“Now more than ever, the more than two million self-employed Australians across the country need to be supported, and it’s our passion to drive this. The Melbourne Storm, with its strong appeal and ambitions as a club and community, provide the perfect platform to help us continue to inspire and support Australia’s self-employed community,” Dwyer said.

Storm Chief Executive Officer, Dave Donaghy, said “The club is very excited to welcome RedZed to the Storm family.”

“Both RedZed and Storm hold similar values in that we are always striving to be the best we can and have a strong commitment to our loyal fans and the Victorian community. We were also thrilled to have a Victorian-based company in RedZed choose Storm as their first sporting partner in what is becoming a more challenging commercial market,” Donaghy said.

The partnership between RedZed and Storm will extend to off the field, with knowledge sharing opportunities for RedZed’s extensive mortgage broker network across the country.

Since 2006, RedZed has been providing lending solutions for the self-employed, a community which has often found it difficult to have their voices heard through traditional banking systems.

RedZed Managing Director, Evan Dwyer, said there were many synergies that were attractive in the partnership with Storm.

“RedZed started as a small business in 2006 in a very challenging and competitive market, much like Storm did when it first played in the NRL some 22 years ago.

“We have assisted over 6,000 self-employed Australians to achieve their business ambitions by funding in excess of $3billion in home and commercial loans. RedZed is passionate about doing more to partner with and enable self-employed Australians to achieve business success.

“We are excited to be growing our business and entering into a new era and we are thrilled about the opportunities this partnership with Storm offers RedZed and our brokers,” Dwyer said.
