Redundancies made at BlueArc

BluearcDigital agency BlueArc has made more than 10 redundancies as the company seeks to restructure some of its operations.

Mumbrella understands that staff were told of the redundancies late last week.

A spokeswoman for BlueArc confirmed the departure had occurred recently but declined to comment the exact number or on the type of roles being made redundant.

“I can confirm that there were redundancies last week,” said the BlueArc spokeswoman.

The company also ruled out industry speculation that further redundancies are planned.

“There are no redundancies scheduled for today or into the future and the business is trading as normal while the restructure takes place,” she said.

BlueArc is an agency specialising in web content, ecommerce and mobile products with offices in Sydney and Melbourne. The agency’s clients include the Sydney Cricket Grounds Trust, Bridgeclimb and Upskilled.

Earlier this year, the agency spun off a separate digital arm with the launch of Ardent Digital. The company said no clients would be moved between the two agencies, in the wake of the redundancies and restructure.
