Redundancies at Yahoo!7 after relocation of Totaltravel

Yahoo!7 will see redundancies in its Totaltravel website after the decision to relocate its office from Byron Bay to the digital division’s Walsh Bay office in Sydney.

As many as a third of the website’s 20 staff are tipped to go after the company made the decision to relocate from their north cost office, where the website was founded.

A spokeswoman for Yahoo!7 would not be drawn on the number of redundancies but confirmed the move.

“Yahoo!7 can confirm that it making some changes to the Totaltravel business. These changes include relocating the majority of the Totaltravel team roles to the Yahoo!7 Sydney office. It is expected that the Byron Bay office will remain open until March 2014,” said the spokeswoman.
