Reprise wins creative account for General Motors Speciality Vehicles

Reprise has been named the creative agency of record for General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) in Australia and New Zealand.

The IPG Mediabrands performance agency will work across the strategy and creative account for the company, having completed a series of international and local presentations, after GMSV undertook a review of several potential agencies.

The account win for Reprise represents the first time GMSV will advertise in Australia, and the agency will executive creative campaigns for forthcoming launches of new models he Silverado Trail Boss and mid-engine supercar the Corvette C8.

Both vehicles will launch in Australia fully converted to right-hand drive,  after being a key part of the General Motors catalogue internationally for many years.

GMSV’s Jodie Lennon

GMSV general manager of marketing, CX, Jodie Lennon said Reprise’s customer insight and understanding made them the right agency to launch into Australia with.

“We chose Reprise for our strategy and creative assignments because of their vision for how various communications channels can be harnessed to promote our vehicles.

“At its core, GMSV offers a niche product range which appeals to a specific audience of passionate enthusiasts. We feel that this consideration, when partnered with Reprise’s extensive customer insight and understanding, will deliver the best possible results as we launch iconic vehicles from our range.”

Reprise head of strategy, creative and content, Marcelo Andrade, at Reprise, said the new account fits in with the agency’s remit and desire to work with innovative brands.

“At Reprise, we focus on customer flow – understanding audiences and their journey to purchase while delivering memorable experiences that adapt, move and immerse customers in our clients brands and products.

“It is a new way to unify the many levers that drive performance marketing and working with an innovative brand like GMSV makes total sense for us to thrive.”

The account win comes shortly after Mediabrands appointed former UM Australia chief data and technology officer Maria Grivas as the new CEO of Reprise.

She replaced Matt Sallis, who served in the role since early 2020 despite being based in Canada, and who eventually resigned due to family reasons and as a result of travel restrictions scuppering plans to move to Australia.
