Ricki-Lee Coulter to join Nova’s drive show as Kate Ritchie embarks on new project

Artist and broadcaster Ricki-Lee Coulter has replaced Kate Ritchie on Nova Entertainment’s national drive show, creating a new program titled “Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel”.

Ritchie has been with Nova’s drive slot for eight years with co-hosts Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey. She took an extended break from the show in October 2022 with Coulter her on-air fill-in.

However, the network confirmed today that Coulter will be a permanent fixture on the drive program, while Ritchie’s new project will be revealed tomorrow.

In the last radio rating survey of 2022, Kate, Tim & Joel took up the most drive share in the Brisbane metro market. The first survey of 2023 is due to be released later this month.

Coulter said, “I love Tim and Joel like the brothers I never had but always wanted, and I have been having so much fun in the studio with them – they are the best in the business!

“I have so much love for Kate and I’m so happy I’ve been able to help out on the Drive show over the last year. I am pumped to be officially joining the Nova family!”

Peter Charlton, Nova Entertainment CEO, said: “We are delighted to formally welcome Ricki-Lee to the Drive team. She’s a great talent and has endeared herself to listeners during her time on Drive.

“The chemistry between the three of them and the fun they have in the studio is plain to hear and we have no doubt the next incarnation of Australia’s number one drive show will continue to delight listeners around the country.

“Nova’s Drive show has constantly reinvented itself, hosted by some of the best broadcasters in the business, something that has kept it at number one in its time slot for so long.

“Kate Ritchie has played a huge role in this success and remains an important part of the Nova family. We want to thank Kate for all she’s done for the show and the Nova Network.”
