The announcement:

Growing client demand for self-service demand-side ad platforms (DSPs) is fuelling ongoing hiring charge at online marketing technology company Rocket Fuel. In the latest of a string of new hires for the business, experienced Campaign Manager Kiran Dosanjh has joined from mobile advertising technology company Amobee.

Dosanjh joins in a newly formed Account Manager position, bringing a reputation for excellence in campaign delivery and optimisation to Rocket Fuel’s stable of high-profile clients. With 24 offices worldwide including New York, London, Paris and Sydney, Dosanjh’s appointment is the latest in the company’s rapid expansion The new hire reflects growing industry demand from advertisers looking to in-house their DSP requirements, said Rocket Fuel’s Australian MD JJ Eastwood.

“I’m delighted to have Kiran join the team to help us drive the rapidly growing number of self-serve DSP clients we have in Australia and New Zealand,” he said.

“There will always be a need for a managed service offering, but increasingly an automated self-learning DSP mean advertisers are now better placed to freely deploy their own initiatives and to manage their own advertising programs internally,” he added.

Since launching in Australia in June 2014 Rocket Fuel has rapidly expanded its team with former Fairfax Media manager Elizabeth Adeniji joining as sales director of AUNZ last November, along with ex-Cadreon sales manager, Liz Schaffer joining as group sales manager.

Dosanjh said he was excited to be joining a business with huge ambitions for the Australian market. “Rocket Fuel is well-recognised globally, and in the last 12 months they have certainly made a splash in Australia. Their international experience is bringing vast new opportunities and insights to Australian marketers – coming aboard during accelerated growth and momentum is brilliant.”
