Speaking with Director Julia Leigh, Executive Producer Tim White and Leigh’s mentor Jane Campion, Ruby Boukabou uncovers Sleeping Beauty for Screen Australia.
Leigh is grateful to have her work be seen at a festival that has “long shaped my love of cinema”. Campion says it “will get people talking, big time”. Meanwhile White expects the film will polarise audiences and would “prefer negativity than indifference”.
Cannes was Sleeping Beauty‘s world premiere, where it is in competition.
