Saatchi & Saatchi creates custom Maton guitar to promote live music in Melbourne

Saatchi & Saatchi is looking to revive the live music scene in Melbourne by uniting four of the city’s most iconic music venues in the construction of a custom guitar, recently featured in a documentary on Nine.

Using wood sourced from The Tote, The Espy, The Corner and Cherry Bar in its construction, the custom Maton guitar, the MM3000, will be available for local and touring artists to play. It will travel between the four venues with its path will able to be tracked on a bespoke site that will encourage Melburnians to get out and explore the city’s live music events.

The story of the MM3000 was captured in a documentary which aired on 24 April and is currently available to stream on 9Now. The film was created by Scoundrel Films and director Matt Weston.
