Saatchis hires new planning director O’Loughlin

Saatchi & Saatchi’s new CEO John Foley has started to replace the agency’s depleted upper ranks.

The agency revealed today that David O’Loughlin, national planning director at Whybin\TBWA\Tequila, will be joining the Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney in July. O’Loughlin will work alongside ECD Steve Back.

Foley said: “We interviewed fantastic overseas based candidates, but Steve and  I knew we’d found a truly world class planning director in David right here in Sydney. Not only is David going to add real value to the relationship with our clients, he will play a key role in helping lead this agency into an exciting new era.”

Back added: “He has an extremely refreshing and uncomplicated view about the integral role planning plays in delivering breakthrough communication.”

Before Whybin\TBWA, O’Loughlin – from Adelaide – spent six  years abroad working in the UK, Canada and the US.
