Sally Kissane named CEO of Ogilvy Agency as WPP AUNZ forms Ogilvy Network

Sally Kissane has been named the CEO of Ogilvy, with WPP AUNZ drawing the Ogilvy agencies together into one network.

Kissane, who has been with the creative agency since 1996, steps up from managing director to take over the leadership of the agency Ogilvy from David Fox, who was announced in January to be taking the post of CEO in the Middle East and North Africa.

The formation of the new network will also see Richard Brett, CEO of OPR (formerly known as Ogilvy Public Relations), expand his remit to include specialist agency Ogilvy Health.

Kissane and Brett will work alongside head of experience technology, Jason Davey, stepping into the role of chief experience and innovation officer for Ogilvy Network leading its innovation and experience businesses.

Chief operations and talent officer, Dave Sayer, completes the four leaders of the network, broadening his remit to become COO. Sayer is also the COO of WPP AUNZ’s creative agencies.

The formation of the network follows last year’s departure of Kieran Moore, WPP AUNZ’s CEO of PR. Moore’s remit included the leadership of all of WPP AUNZ’s public relations agencies, including OPR, BCW, Cannings Purple, Hill + Knowlton and Howorth, as well as a group communications and marketing. Moore was not replaced in the position.

WPP AUNZ CEO Jens Monsees said the formation of the Ogilvy Network was consistent with the Ogilvy’s global vision for the brand.

“I am excited to announce Ogilvy AU as one of the strongest networks in the region, key to WPP AUNZ’s strong portfolio of brands. I am especially delighted that we were able to appoint the new leadership team from our strong internal talent pool.”

The network has been formed to provide a “broader range of creative data-driven and technology-enabled solutions for clients.”

Ogilvy global CEO, Andy Main, added: “Australia is critical to Ogilvy’s ability to be the best creative
partner and platform for growth on the planet. I’m confident the Ogilvy AU network, led by these creative and innovative leaders, will continue delivering big ideas and modern solutions that drive value for our clients across Australia.”
