SBS launches Cultural Intelligence portal in preparation for televised forum

SBS today launched a new online resource called SBS CQ: Cultural Intelligence.

SBS CQ aims to bring together media commentators, experts and influencers to debate media and diversity.

The launch of CQ will be followed by a televised forum on December 22, 8.30pm on SBSTWO about the media’s role in the nation’s discussion about diversity in Australia.

Participants in the forum will include former immigration minister Amanda Vanstone, former Ten and Nine news directors, Daily Telegraph journalist Joe Hildebrand, Liberal candidate for Cabramatta Dai Le, Go Back to Where You Came From‘s Bahati Masudi and Pino Migliorino form multicultural peak body FECCA.

The program will be hosted by Anton Enus, World News Australia’s anchor.

Michael Ebeid, SBS managing director said: “SBS will use its expertise as a broadcaster and thought leader on diversity to provide new perspectives on long-standing debates about multiculturalism.”

SBS CQ will become a permanent hub for views, news and research about diversity, immigration, refugees and asylum seekers.
