SBS to show Orphan Black online immediately after US broadcast

Orphan Black Series 2SBS will broadcast US series Orphan Black online via SBS On Demand immediately after it is broadcast in the US at 12pm on Sunday April 20. It will then be on SBS 2 on Tuesday April 22 at 8.30pm.

SBS 2 will screen the new series of critically acclaimed conspiracy thriller Orphan Black express from the US.

SBS 2 have teamed up with SBS On Demand to make the new series available online immediately after the show airs state side. Orphan Black will be available to stream online via the SBS On Demand service on Sundays from 12pm.The new series will also screen at its usual time on Tuesday nights at 8.30pm on SBS 2. It is a classic win win for viewers.

For those who are not yet up to speed with the brilliance of Orphan Black, SBS 2 is giving everyone the chance to catch up on series one with an encore screening over two nights on Sunday April 13 and Monday April 14 from 10:30pm.

The new season hits the ground running with Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) in a desperate race to find her missing daughter – a wild pursuit that brings her head-to-head with ruthless pro-clone, Rachel (Maslany). Sarah’s bond with her clone sisters Alison (Maslany) and Cosima (Maslany) remains strong as they struggle to keep their clone world a secret. They have all made choices that have dire consequences, leaving Sarah to navigate a dangerous world of new enemies and shifting allegiances.

Episode One – Tuesday April 22, 8.30pm on SBS 2

In the season premiere, Sarah is out of options, on the run, and pursued by deadly adversaries.

Desperate to find her daughter Kira, Sarah suspects ruthless pro-clone Rachel is behind her daughter’s disappearance and sparks an all-out war against her. Alison and Donnie attend the funeral of her fallen friend, Aynsley, causing Alison to sink into guilt and despair. Cosima is faced with a perplexing decision that may have dire consequences.
