SEN group reports profit and ongoing EBTIDA of over $10m
SEG, owner of sports and racing broadcaster Sports Entertainment Network, has reported an annual profit of close to $23m after the sale of the Perth Wildcats and with the rest of its business beginning to perform.
Excluding the sale of Wildcats and some other assets, the business reported $110.24m of revenue from its ongoing operations, with an underlying EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) of $10.53m.

SEG CEO Craig Hutchison
The company, led by founder and AFL aficionado Craig Hutchison, was upbeat in its outlook.
“In line with previously issued market guidance on the 30th of June 2025, SEG expects to again deliver double-digit EBITDA % growth in FY26,” it said in the company’s ASX filing.
As well as operating SEN’s racing and sports radio stations, SEG provides TV production services and runs an app and website with tipping and wagering.
Revenue was up $2.4m in 2025. SEG is still carrying bank debt of $13.7m, but with $15m cash in hand, has reported a positive net cash position.
The company provided a strategy map that shows it in the “financial payoff” segment of the journey.
Among its listed accomplishments in the financial year were:
- Commencing production of Channel 7’s flagship football shows the Agenda Setters and Unfiltered
- Commissioning a second TV studio space with a live audience capacity of 80
- Successfully tendering for the TV production rights of Harness Racing Victoria for the next five years
Craig Hutchison recently returned to the Seven Network after 18 years, headlining the network’s AFL talk show, The Agenda Setters. He was previously at Nine.
