Seven appoints new Sydney sales director Georgie Nichols

Seven West Media has announced Dentsu Aegis Network’s Georgie Nichols will move across this month to become the network’s sales director in Sydney.

The role was previously fulfilled by Natalie Harvey, who earlier in the year was promoted to network sales director following the departure of Seven stalwart Adam Elliott.

Nichols starts with Seven on 31 July

Harvey said that Nichols’ experience – which includes being general manager of Carat Sydney and time with Clemenger, George Patterson Bates and OMD – made her a standout candidate.

Seven West Media’s chief revenue officer Kurt Burnette added: “For many years I have been impressed by Georgie’s ability to consistently create strong partnerships, establish and grow teams as well as being able to recognise, create and action meaningful ideas that work.

“As the media evolves, so does the needs of our customers, and Georgie’s great understanding of media agencies and companies’ current and future needs will build on an already strong team led by Nat. We’re really excited to have Georgie join the team and to play a significant part in shaping our strategy and plans for Seven and Seven West Media.”

Nichols begins the role at the end of July and said she is looking forward to joining the team at a time when it had strong ratings and revenue momentum.

“Kurt and Nat have a clear vision of where they want to take the business, and this, coupled with the depth and breadth of SWM content and unique addressable, data and programatic capabilities, make this a great time to be joining,” she said.

“I look forward to drawing on my agency and client-side experience to drive strong brand and commercial outcomes for SWM partners.”
