Seven looks to Foxtel for new director hire
Foxtel Media’s former executive director for strategy and operations, Annie Griffiths, is joining the Seven Network in a director position.
According to the broadcaster, who shared the news on Wednesday, Griffiths will take on the position of director, commercial strategy and innovation at the network. Her stint will commence later in the year.
Griffiths is tasked with overseeing 7Red (the network’s partnerships, strategy and brand integration division), on top of the company’s trade marketing and commercial strategy efforts. She’ll report to Henry Tajer — Seven’s chief commercial officer.
“It’s a transformative time in the video industry. With top-notch local content, and an accelerating digital business, I’m delighted to be part of what’s next for Seven. I’m looking forward to mucking in with the team to deliver outcomes for clients,” Griffiths said in a media release.

The job will see her depart Foxtel Media, where she has served as executive director, strategy and operations, since July 2024. Prior to Foxtel, Griffiths spent close to four-and-a-half years as the chief marketing officer of media agency PHD USA in New York. Her résumé also includes positions at GroupM companies in Sydney and New York — Maxus and Mediacom — covering roles such as partner, strategy director and group business director.
Tajer praised Griffiths for her expertise, as well as the opportunities her appointment will bring to the network.
“Annie is one of the best strategists I’ve worked with, and she brings a great track record and a lot of experience to this new role at Seven,” Tajer said in the release.
“Hiring Annie is an important first step in re-imagining how we engage with the market and create new ways to connect with our audiences across all the Seven platforms.
“I can’t wait to see Annie’s impact on the team at Seven, our partners and our clients.”
The announcement of Griffiths’ hiring comes two days after Seven secured exclusive broadcast rights for the upcoming 2026 and 2030 Commonwealth Games. The deal includes subscription TV rights, digital, social media, broadcast, radio, and connected TV.
