Seven says ‘Something big is coming’ with new promo for streaming service 7 Plus
The Seven Network has launched a new ad for its rebranded 7 Plus streaming service, which teases “Something big is coming” in November 2017.
The ad shows the Plus 7 branding being wiped away for the new 7 Plus offering. It also promises: “This is just the start”.
“The free 7 Plus app is available soon,” the voiceover promises.
7 Plus – formerly Plus 7 – will offer live and on-demand shows with an extended content library including global dramas and exclusive commissions, such as Yummy Mummies.
Speaking at Seven’s Upfronts in October, chief revenue officer Kurt Burnette told Mumbrella 7 Plus would not have a forced log in. Those who subscribe to the service, however, will be able to pay for Seven’s new shows pre-broadcast, offline and in HD.
The platform will also offer brands addressable advertising, which Seven described as a “game changer”.
7 Plus will also, according to James Bayes, digital sales director at Seven, overcome the issues currently hampering other streaming services.
“7 Plus will feature a world-class advertising experience that addresses many of your earlier frustrations with OTT experiences. We’ve listened, and 7 Plus is evidence of our commitment to ensuring your brands are connected to audiences in the best possible way,” he said.
“To deliver on this promise we’ve worked with some of the best technology companies in the world, to diminish frequency issues and reduce break crashing that creates negative sentiment on similar services.
“You can and should expect better. As an industry we still have some work to do but 7 Plus will be leading the way.”
