Seven, Ten, ABC and Movie Network vie for TV network of the year
The Seven Network, the ABC, Network Ten and The Movie Network are in the running to be named Australian TV network of the year in the inaugural Encore Awards.
Meanwhile, Encore magazine’s battle for TV production company of the year – which focuses mainly on drama output – is between Renegade Films, Screentime, Southern Star Entertainment and Werner Film Productions.
The four organisations in the running for cross platform production company of the year are Firelight Productions; Hoodlum; KCDC and The Project Factory.
The winners will be announced at the end of next week’s Encore Question Time. The Encore Awards are a prelude to a more comprehensive process next year.

well deserved Movie Network. Great programming and very smart positioning on a crowded platform. Without Extra, Madmen would be buried on a FTA and The Jesters wouldn’t even get a run. The classiest drama and funniest comedy respectively on Aus TV.
