Seven wins Thursday night thanks to AFL finals
The AFL clash between the Greater Western Sydney Giants and Adelaide Cross helped Seven to a Thursday night win, with 909,000 viewers across Australia’s five metro cities.
According to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary ratings, the show managed to beat the home visit episode of Ten’s The Bachelor Australia, which attracted 717,000 metro viewers.

The first qualifier match, which saw Adelaide defeat GWS by more than 30 points, placed first in the 25-54 advertising demographic, and second across the 16-39s, and 18-49s.
However, The Bachelor Australia managed to top the 16-39s, and 18-49s.
Nine’s offering in the same time slot was RBT, which achieved 573,000 metro viewers.
Seven’s AFL pre match and post match episodes pulled 609,000 and 440,000 metro viewers respectively.
In the 6pm news battle, Seven scraped a win, with 878,000 metro viewers over Nine’s 875,000.
The most watched show on the ABC was ABC News, with 679,000 metro viewers.
However, it was an easier win for Seven in the average audience shares (24.0%), well ahead of Nine’s 16.2%, Ten’s 14.1%, ABC’s 9.4% and SBS’ 4.4%.
