Seven wins tightest ratings week of 2009
Seven won the third ratings week, in the tightest battle of the year yet.
In the end, the network finished the week with 28.5% of free TV’s primetime audience, only just ahead of Nine’s 27.9%. Ten trailed in third with 21.3%, followed by the ABC on 16.1% and SBS on 6.1%.
However, Nine’s Underbelly was still easily the most watched show of the week, with a 2.3m audience.
And last night Seven also made a winning start to the next ratings week, according to preliminary OzTam figures.
Yesterday’s share: Seven 28.8%; Nine 26.3%; Ten 25.9%; ABC 14%; SBS 5%.
