Dynamo casts a spell on Seven

Seven’s spell of magic shows is continuing to win audiences for the network with 968,000 tuning in to Dynamo: Magician Impossible, making it the top entertainment show of Thursday, according to OzTam’s preliminary overnight metro ratings.

On Tuesday Seven’s Cosentino: The magic, the mystery, the madness, a special about the Australian illusionist, was the top entertainment show of the night with an audience of 1.022m across the five cities.

Dynamo, on at 8.30pm, was up against The Footy Show on Channel Nine, which was eighth for the night with 866,000 total metro viewers and was the top show among 25-54’s while Dynamo was fourth in that demographic.

Nine narrowly won the night with a 21.5 per cent share of the audience over Seven’s 20 per cent share, with Big Brother on from 7pm to 8.30pm drawing 756,000 viewers making it tenth for the night and sixth among 25-54’s.

ABC1’s Upper Middle Bogan, a comedy series about two families who live at opposite ends of the freeway, was up against The Footy Show and Dynamo at 8.30pm and was ninth for the night with 823,000 people tuning in to the third episode of the new series. The ABC also had 744,000 viewers for the third episode of it’s new comedy series about dating, It’s A Date, on at 9pm, making it eleventh for the night .

Channel Ten’s final MasterChef masterclass at 7.30pm, showcased all the contestants of the year and last night had 666,000 total metro viewers, making it tenth of the night among Ten’s target demographic audience of 25-54’s.

Seven’s Please Marry My Boy, on at 9pm, had a metro audience of 491,000, making it 20th for the night and 14th among 25-54’s.

In the morning battle Sunrise celebrated another win over Nine’s Today show with 360,000 viewers over Today’s 304,000.
