Seven’s digital channel 7Two off to a modest start

Seven’s digital offering, 7Two launched at midday yesterday with a modest opening audience but the network’s combined channels still outperformed Nine’s.  

Michael Jackson’s last televised concert was the first show to air on 7Two after a ten minute introduction to the channel which pulled in 82,200 viewers, according to preliminary results from OzTam.

The concert was the highest ranking show for 7Two with an audience of 87,600. The channel’s overall share was 1.8 per cent compared to Nine’s digital channel Go with 4.2 per cent and Ten’s One with 2.1 per cent.

Overall, Seven easily won the night with a 30.1 per cent share for its main channel. It had the five top rating programmes, with The Force pulling in the biggest audience of the night with just over 1.5m.
