445k metro viewers tune in to watch Seven’s Shane Warne special

Seven’s TV special titled Warnie, a showcase of the recently deceased Shane Warne’s life, had 445,000 metro viewers last night.

Topping all programming, however, was Nine’s Married At First Sight (MAFS) with 954,000 metro viewers, with the show also topping all three of the key demographics (16 to 39, 18 to 49 and 25 to 54).

Similarly, the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 16 March, Wednesday’s episode of MAFS was the top program nationally across linear, with 2.013 million viewers, including 578,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 54%.

The program with the highest uplift in the top 30 programs was an episode of The Responder on SBS with an uplift of 195%, with a total of 330,000 and 108,000 on BVOD.

For entertainment programs last night Seven’s The Chase came after MAFS with 494,000 metro viewers, followed by ABC’s Hard Quiz with 477,000 metro viewers.

In terms of overall programming, Seven News came after MAFS with 912,000 metro viewers, then Seven News at 6.30 with 866,000 metro viewers. Nine News 6.30 followed with 842,000 metro viewers, then Nine News with 840,000 metro viewers. Nine’s A Current Affair was next with 699,000 metro viewers then ABC News with 598,000 metro viewers. ABC’s 7.30 followed with 493,000 metro viewers.

For network share, Nine had the largest with 34.0%, followed by Seven with 26.1%. Ten was next with 17.1%.
