Sheffield said that there remained many significant areas that the IAB would be addressing during her term.

“The next two years will be significant for the fast growing and dynamic digital industry,” Sheffield said.

“The importance of digital daily ratings and evolution of measurement will be key to success, solidifying the opportunities that digital offers marketers and becoming essential in their daily lives and campaigns.”

Harrison said it was the right time to hand over the reigns.

“The IAB has achieved a lot in the last two years, especially in its world leading development of online audience measurement, Harrison said.

“Now that Vijay is up and running, it’s a great time to pass on the baton. The IAB Board is strong and Nicole will do a fantastic job.”

After taking on the role of CEO, Solanki began national listening tour last month to meet with 50 key organisations and stakeholders with a view to frame the remit for the IAB going forward.
