#SheTakesOver goes global for 2022

Creative industry initiative #SheTakesOver will do so this time on a global scale for its third year, celebrating and platforming the work of women and non-binary people in creative production all over the world.

Founded in the UK by adam&eveDDB, the initiative leverages the power of authentic storytelling to elevate rising and established female and non-binary photographers, filmmakers, animators, illustrators and composers.

#SheTakesOver invites agencies to sign up and dedicate their social media channels to the cause for the entire month of March, showcasing creative work submitted by their talent.

In partnership with Campaign, Free the Work, Equal Lens, the Alliance for Women Film Composers, and Clear Channel, adam&eveDDB hopes to ensure that female and non-binary creative talent are recognised for their work and able to be seen by the relevant commissioning powers. #SheTakesOver will also expand beyond the digital realm thanks to advertising space donated to the initiative by Clear Channel.

“We have proven over the last 18 months that we can access brilliant talent and bring to life authentic stories from all corners of the world.” said Jemima Monies, deputy managing director of adam&eveDDB.  “It’s time for those with commissioning power to cast their nets far and wide in search for women and non-binary creators and She Takes Over aims to make it easier for them to do that.”

The 2022 #SheTakesOver campaign will start on the 1st of March in the leadup to International Women’s Day (IWD) on the 8th of March.
