Shiine Media unveils OOH measurement platform
Shiine Media has developed a new OOH measurement platform named “Insiight”.
The announcement:
Perth-based media founders have launched a new out-of-home (OOH) measurement platform, Insiight, offering free access as agencies and media owners look for greater accountability and transparency.
The platform has been developed by the team behind Shiine Media, WA’s independently owned rideshare rooftop billboard network. It uses anonymised mobile device IDs detected within viewable distance of a sign to generate insights that go beyond standard reach and frequency, including demographics such as age, income, occupation and education.
“In digital, advertisers know exactly who they are speaking to through Meta or Google. OOH should be no different,” said co-founder Sean Wharton. “The data has been there for some time, what’s new is a platform purpose-built for media owners, covering both static billboards and transit formats, without the barriers that usually make these tools inaccessible.”
The free trial offer is positioned as a way to remove cost and complexity for operators and agencies to test the product in live campaigns. According to the company, assets can be onboarded within five minutes, with dashboards populated by the following week.
Key features include:
- Real-time dashboards showing weekly reach and impressions
- Audience heatmaps tracking exposure and movement patterns
- Automated post-campaign reports, formatted for clients
- Machine learning tools predicting future reach and audience metrics
- Auto-generated proposal and brief response plans
Wharton said Insiight is designed to complement industry tools such as MOVE, which provide a consistent baseline of reach and frequency.
“What it doesn’t capture is what’s happening in real time, or the make-up of audiences behind those numbers,” Wharton said. “Insiight gives media owners and agencies that live visibility and depth, helping them to win briefs and make more data-informed decisions.”
