Shopper Media appoints Sophie Hodgson as NSW agency sales director

Sophie Hodgson has been promoted to the role of NSW agency sales director for digital retail Out-Of-Home (OOH) provider Shopper Media.

In her new role, Hodgson will lead the NSW agency team for all major agencies and partnerships, with a focus on driving value across the Shopper Media agency network.

Hodgson has been with Shopper Media since 2016, and previously served as NSW group sales manager. Prior to that she held roles at Nine, JC Decaux and Network Ten.

She’ll report to Shopper Media head of revenue, Jamie Hollebone.

Hollebone said: “Sophie’s role will focus on delivering excellence through market-leading OOH media campaigns, showcasing some of Australia’s most prominent brands and working closely with our agency partners to deliver precision targeting and genuine value through the media-buying process.

“As vanguards of expanding the retail out of home category, Shopper Media has created the role to provide leadership for our ongoing growth and expansion.”

Shopper Media reported 8.4% growth in recent SMI data across 2020, performing ahead of the wider  OOH category.

It was also the fourth-fastest growing media group year on year after Snapchat, Spotify and LinkedIn.

Shopper Media has over 400 shopping centres nation-wide within its portfolio.

Ms Hodgson said: “Shopper Media is leading the resurgence in out-of-home and we are the best positioned media channel to deliver proximity, and contextually relevant campaigns, helping to better connect brands with Australian shoppers, at scale.”
