Sinch appoints Angus Mansfield as VP of channels sales for APAC

Angus Mansfield has been unveiled as the vice president of channel sales for APAC at Sinch.

The announcement:

Sinch (Sinch AB (publ) – XSTO: SINCH), which is pioneering the way the world communicates through its Customer Communications Cloud, today announced the appointment of Angus Mansfield as vice president, channels sales for Asia-Pacific (APAC). Angus will join the APAC leadership team and play a pivotal role in advancing Sinch’s ambitious growth strategy, with a strong focus on partnerships and ecosystems.

Sinch places partnerships and ecosystem growth at the centre of its global expansion strategy. With over 500 partnerships worldwide, Sinch integrates its cutting-edge solutions directly into partner environments, driving business value for both Sinch and its partners. Currently, 25% of Sinch’s business is generated via indirect sales and, as Sinch has strengthened and expanded partnerships with resellers, the company has seen a 68% year-on-year growth in gross profits with prioritised partners.

The customer communications market is currently valued at USD $85 billion and is expected to grow to USD $130 billion by 2029. This growth is driven by rising customer expectations for timely, relevant, and highly personalised communications—trends that are only accelerating as generative AI becomes increasingly prevalent. Businesses are under pressure to meet these expectations or risk losing customer engagement and trust. Sinch is uniquely positioned to help businesses not only meet these demands but also build deeper, more fulfilling customer relationships that drive lasting brand loyalty.

In his new role, Angus Mansfield will be responsible for managing and growing Sinch’s partnerships and channel sales strategy across the APAC region. He will lead the indirect sales team, manage all partner relationships—including carriers, resellers, ASPs, SIs, and ecosystem partners—and work to identify and capitalise on new growth opportunities.

Based in Sydney, Angus has a proven track record in building and scaling partner networks across Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining Sinch, Angus led the partnerships team at monday.com, overseeing business across 13 markets as part of the APAC leadership team. Prior to that, he founded XCentral, a Systems Integrator and MSP, and successfully led its acquisition by Nexon Asia Pacific, where he held a senior sales leadership role.

Mansfield’s appointment comes at a pivotal time, as the demand for accurate, timely, and reliable customer communications continues to increase. Sinch’s advanced technology platform is well-positioned to support businesses in meeting these evolving needs, with upcoming innovations such as the release of RCS opening new opportunities for partners to deliver next-generation solutions to market.

Angus Mansfield said: “Sinch plays an unseen but critical role in how our economy and society function. More than 800 billion emails, messages and calls were initiated by businesses on the platform in 2024 alone – and new technology and products are coming.”

“The need for accurate, timely and reliable communication with customers is only increasing. Customers expect seamless, tailored communications and to build their own personal relationships with brands. Organisations that don’t deliver this are being left behind, and this presents an exciting opportunity for Sinch to grow further in the region.”

Wendy Johnstone, executive vice president, APAC at Sinch, said: “Angus brings a strategic mindset and a wealth of experience from across the APAC region, particularly in building and scaling channel ecosystems. His purposeful energy and collaborative leadership will be key to deepening our partner engagement and aligning our go-to-market efforts. With Angus on board, we’re well positioned to empower our partners to better serve customers—delivering tailored, high-impact solutions that meet evolving needs across the region.”
