Sky News Australia expands flagship coverage with new weekend editions of First Edition and Newsday
Sky News Australia will launch weekend broadcasts of its flagship programs First Edition and Newsday from 6 September.

Sky News Australia has announced it will launch weekend broadcasts of its successful flagship news and national affairs programs First Edition and NewsDay, bolstering the network’s live breaking news coverage and analysis.
Each Saturday and Sunday from 6.00am, Weekend First Edition hosted by respected journalist Alex Thomas, will bring a sharp focus to the issues of the day playing out in Australia and around the world. With more than three decades of global broadcast experience across CNN, ITN, and the BBC, Alex brings a world-class pedigree and journalistic authority to weekend mornings.
Joining the refreshed weekend line-up is Weekend NewsDay hosted by experienced Sky News presenter Jaynie Seal. Saturdays from 10.00am and Sundays from 12.00pm, Jaynie will deliver comprehensive coverage of breaking stories and key issues shaping the weekend news agenda.
