Sling & Stone launches sustainability offering with Alana Theodor at the helm

Sling & Stone has promoted Alana Theodor to lead its new specialty sustainability offering for brands which are focused on energy, climate change, waste reduction, and fashion.

Some of Sling & Stone’s clients which have engaged its sustainability offering include Future Super, V2food, Fable, Glam Corner, Keep Cup, Maoneng Group, Zero Co, Mevo, and Sendle.

Theodor has been promoted to spearhead the new sustainability offering for Sling & Stone

The agency realised through working with its sustainability-focused clients that “there is more noise than ever, and the need for clear, impactful, and cohesive storytelling is greater”.

Vuki Vujasinovic, founder and CEO of Sling & Stone, said: “Sling & Stone turns 10 this year. Along with the scale we’ve now reached, this gives us a moment for reflection and forecasting the type of future we want to create.

“Since day one we’ve worked with clients that have an ambitious view of what the future could be like — whether it was how people live, work, or play. In recent years this has meant a number of sustainability-focused clients in all of our offices — Australia, New Zealand, and America.

“We feel a deep responsibility to use the skills and tools we have to influence the future of our environment, and I’m proud to make this official with the launch of our sustainability specialisation.

Theodor has been with Sling & Stone for two years as an account director. Her new title is senior account director, sustainability.

She was selected to lead the sustainability arm after she spearheaded much of the agency’s sustainability-focused work, including Future Super’s ‘Not Business as Usual Alliance’.

“Congratulations to Alana who has shown true gumption and leadership, earning this opportunity to grow our agency’s services and impact and to tell more of these important stories,” Vujasinovic said.

Theodor said of her promotion: “Climate change has had an enormous effect on the planet and people, and there is more noise than ever about what we can do to make a difference collectively. We’re proud to be working with a range of clients that are leading the charge in their industries.

“Working with these brands allows us to kickstart movements that matter and craft stories around environmental change and impact.

“I’m grateful to work in an agency that supports specialisation and allows me to play in a field that I am passionate about. Working on campaigns that champion environmental activism and behaviour change is super rewarding.”

Last week, Sling & Stone announced eight new client wins including Keep Cup and Glam Corner, Eventbrite, indoor training app Zwift, and document developer Qwilr.
