SmoothFM launches new Parenties event as parent’s answer to Schoolies

SmoothFM has launched its answer to Schoolies in the form of the Parenties, an end of VCE-exam party in Melbourne on November 18.

The release:

smoothfm’s Mike Perso and Jennifer Hansen are inviting fellow stressed-out parents to an end of VCE exam party, at the Intercontinental Melbourne The Rialto, on Wednesday 18 November.

Mike and Jen know first-hand the stress of supporting VCE students, as both have sons completing their final year, so they decided to throw a party to allow parents to share their stories. One lucky couple will win a six day escape to India’s Golden Triangle including the Taj Mahal on the night.

Mike said, “The kids get to let their hair down with Schoolies but we thought the mums and dads deserved a chance to celebrate too!”

Jennifer added, ‘It’s going to be a great evening because we’re survivors of the VCE year just like our kids. To celebrate with other mums and dads who are also survivors will make it all the more special because we share that common bond. It will be a big Woo Hoo night!’

This morning on smoothfm’s More Music Breakfast Show, Mike and Jen launched ‘Parenties’, a party especially for parents of VCE children. The first winner was drawn on-air this Wednesday November 4, with further winners announced over the next two weeks. Parents can enter through www.smoothfm.com.au.

Students have ‘schoolies’ to let down their hair after their final exams and now smoothfm 91.5 will support their long suffering parents. ‘Parenties’ will be held on Wednesday 18 November at the Intercontinental Melbourne The Rialto.
