Snapchat introduces editable chats
Snapchat users will be able to edit their messages up to five minutes after sending them, similar to WhatsApp and Facebook, the social media giant has announced today.
Users will also soon be able to react to a message using emojis, a feature that other popular social media apps have implemented, and ‘wave’ at their contacts on the Snap Map – a live, interactive map that allows people to keep up to date with their friends’ locations.
Snapchatters can also converse with a new AI chatbot to ask them to set reminders and take a trip back in time with the AI-powered 90 lens, which allows them to see what they would look like decked out in the decade’s best trends.
They can also create custom looks for their Bitmoji – a user’s 3D emoji that can be personalised to reflect their features and style. Creators can explore their creative side by designing their own digital garments for their Bitmoji, with unique patterns such as ‘vibrant graffiti’ or ‘skull flower’.
Snapchatters create more than 5 billion daily Snaps to communicate visually with their friends. The newly-introduced features aim to help Snapchatters connect even more quickly, express themselves in new ways, and use My AI to stay organised amid busy lives and schedules.
