SOCIETY hires ex-Netflix comms talent and veteran marketing expert for new roles

Independent communications agency, SOCIETY, has announced two significant hires for its team – Will Lehnertz as group strategy lead and Tess Cameron as marketing communications director.

Will Lehnertz

Lehnertz is a communications and brand storytelling expert, with a career that spans several high-profile organisations, including Qantas, Woolworths Group, and most recently, Netflix, where he focused on film & series publicity for Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to that, Lehnertz worked for over three years at The Ellen DeGeneres Show as an integrations production assistant, and later, as an associate manager for branded entertainment and new business.

Meanwhile, Cameron’s experience in communications and marketing comes from 25 years’ experience in the field. Her previous places of employment include Clemenger Group, the Crown Melbourne, Ivy Street Agency, VMLY&R and more.

Her work has spanned across a number of sectors, such as tourism, government, place making, property, lifestyle and government.

When asked about the additions of Cameron and Lehnertz to the employee roster, SOCIETY’s founder and chief executive officer, Dena Vassallo, expressed her delight.

“We’re thrilled to have Will and Tess join our society,” Vassallo said.

“Will’s extensive experience and diverse skill set makes him a valuable addition to our team, providing the necessary insight to add to our aim of challenging the boundaries of creativity and innovation in the industry.

“Tess further boosts our on-ground support in Melbourne to the existing team, delivering integrated communication strategies, running press offices, and stakeholder engagement.”

Cameron will be based in Melbourne, while Lehnertz’s work will see him operating out of Sydney.
