SOCIETY makes two major promotions

Creative comms agency SOCIETY has promoted two senior staff members, strengthening its consultancy team and offering.

Lucy Brewer steps into the client lead role, while Meriel Killeen moves up to manager.

“Building the skills of our team is imperative to providing quality services as our clients look to spark brand connections and create a meaningful impact on our society,” said Dena Vassallo, chief executive of the agency.

“We empower our people to challenge themselves creatively and professionally, so to see Lucy and Meriel step into these new roles is incredibly rewarding.”

Brewer joined SOCIETY in early 2022 as a marketing communications consultant, and quickly moved up to a managerial position by mid-2022. In mid-2023, she was promoted to senior marketing communications manager. During her time at the agency, she has worked across clients including Blooms The Chemist, Unilever, and Woolworths.

Meanwhile, Killeen, who also joined in 2022, has worked with Color Wow, Evo, Violet Crumble, and the Australian Education Union, among other clients, and was promoted to junior manager – marketing communications mid last year.

“I’m thrilled to see Lucy join our senior leadership team, to help support and drive growth for the company and our clients. With her exceptional leadership skills and experience, I am confident she will seamlessly transition into her new role,” Vassallo continued.

“Meriel has a talent for producing brave ideas and creative solutions to consistently deliver outstanding results, in addition to her natural skill for fostering strong connections with our clients and media.”

Vassallo said it is fulfilling as a leader to help her staff thrive and grow within the organisation.

“I look forward to seeing them both continue to excel as well as inspire others to follow in their footsteps,” she concluded.
