Solar D rolls out launch campaign featuring Australian Miss Universe 2012
Sunscreen brand Solar D has launched its inaugural TV campaign across Network Ten, Foxtel and Win with the campaign focused on why the product is different to its competition, with brand ambassador Australian Miss Universe 2012 Renae Ayris starring.
Solar D agency partners 6 Degrees Production, Sally Burleigh Public Relations, Ooh Media and SMV Group have worked together to develop below the line and above the line activity for the launch campaign which will also feature across Fitness First venues across the country.
Matthew Collett, Solar D managing director said: “After bringing in an expert team, we developed a campaign strategy and ambassador alignment program that not only tells the Solar-D story, but reinforces the science behind the product, whilst still emphasising the need to protect ourselves from the harsh but beautiful, Aussie Sun.”

This advert does nothing but sexualise woman. I don’t see anything in here about the science behind the product – just skinny, pretty woman with big boobs working out and being glared at by young men. Yuck. Solar D – I think you will struggle to sell your product with messaging like this to a family audience! Fail Solar D – big fat FAIL!
