Southern Cross Austereo appoints Gina Hogan to GM as Linda Wayman steps down
Southern Cross Austereo has promoted Gina Hogan, general manager of Cairns and Tablelands, to fill Linda Wayman’s role as general manager in Perth.
Wayman was SCA Perth’s general manager for more than 14 years.
As replacement for Wayman, Hogan will oversee the operations of Mix94.5, Hit 92.9, supporting and coaching the team to drive the network’s success in the Perth market.
Hogan joined Southern Cross Austereo in 2009 and has worked out of Cairns since then.
Prior to that she worked as station manager at the Seven Network and station manager at Prime Radio.
SCA’s chief operating officer John Kelly said Hogan will lead Perth’s collaboration and implement the company’s initiatives on a local market level.
“I am delighted that after her strong performance at our Cairns operation Gina is now going to take her exemplary management skills to run our metropolitan operations in Perth,” Kelly said.
Commenting on her appointment, Hogan said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on new challenges in Perth, and I’m certainly looking forward to the move to WA. With family in the region, I am not a complete stranger to the West.”
She will start her new position on July 17, reporting directly to Kelly.
The thinking behind this ad is bizarre …
I’m surprised SportsBet thinks it can encourage people to bet online when it’s a disgraced drug cheat doing the promotion! That ought to be enough to make most people run a mile (excuse the inadvertent pun!).
I’d like to know what Johnson got paid – it would to have been a lot, and that makes it a bit of an ‘up yours’ to the global anti-doping authorities by both Ben Johnson and SportsBet because they’re trading on his notoriety. Johnson, who was done not just once, but twice for drug cheating, should have been pushed into obscurity years ago! It’s not a great message to send to other offenders – you can get done for taking performance enhancing drugs, but hey, don’t worry, in a couple of years SportsBet and other gambling bodies will pay you a small fortune and you’ll be able to trade off your bad rep!
What next? Will SportsBet be churning out Stephen Dank as an ambassador!?!
