Southern Cross Austereo rebrands Sea FM Bundaberg to Triple M

Bundaberg residents will be tuning in to 93.1 Triple M from late February with the Sea FM brand to disappear.

Southern Cross Austereo announced this morning that the regional Queensland FM station – which has been running for 18 years – would be re-branded to Triple M from February 26.

The new addition of 93.1 Triple M brings the number of stations on the network to 35 across metro and regional markets. The network also has four Triple M digital stations, including newly added Triple M Country.

Breakfast show hosts Nik & Jac will continue in breakfast, but Sea FM’s music will expand to include ‘Greatest Hits from the 70’s to now’.

Triple M’s new national drive show hosts Mick Molloy and Jane Kennedy will run on 93.1 Triple M from 5pm-7pm.

SCA’s general manager of Bundaberg, Nicholas Purdie, said the station was excited by the changes that lay ahead.

“In a nutshell, we will still be the same local station but now with an extended family. There will be loads of sport with the Triple M Footy call, the music that our listeners know and love plus lots of national and international prizes!”
