Spiderman: Homecoming earns $10.130m in its first weekend box office

Sony Pictures’ Spiderman: Homecoming has jumped straight to number on the weekend box office charts earning $10.130m across 634 screens.

Starring Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr, the motion picture has earned a total of $10.150m in just one week.

Despicable Me 3, which topped the charts last weekend, has dropped to number two as it grabbed $4.189m over the weekend, taking its total box office earning to date to $23.733m.

Walt Disney’s Cars 3, which jumped one spot to number three, managed $1.982m across 420 screens.

Meanwhile, Wonder Woman fell to number four as it earned $1.267m over the weekend, taking its total earnings to $28.751m.

At number five was Paramount’s Transformers: The Last Knight, which sat at number two last week, as it pulled in $1.045m.
