Spoke Corporate opens Sydney office led by Samantha Zoratto

Perth-based investor relations and marketing agency, Spoke Corporate, has opened an office in Sydney and appointed Samantha Zoratto to lead the operation.

Spoke founder and managing director, Luke Derbyshire, said the new office came about following client growth on the east coast.

“Each month more and more clients are talking to us about how they can build their profile on the east coast, whether that’s to create new revenue streams or as part of their investor strategy,” said Derbyshire.

“Alternatively, companies from Melbourne and Sydney are looking to us to develop integrated marketing programs that launch their services and products into Western Australia.”

Zoratto joins from publisher Urban List where she was client services director. She has previously spent time at Fairfax Media (now owned by Nine) where she worked with its Good Food title.

Zoratto’s new title is general manager of consumer marketing and strategic events.

Derbyshire said Zoratto’s experience with the food, beverage, health and lifestyle industries made her the perfect fit for the Sydney office.

“We all know the difficult environment that business and industry are facing. That said, we’re staying bullish about the commercial outlook, and know that in times of crisis, successful companies must continue to proactively connect with their key constituencies and keep raising the bar,” he said.

In Spoke Corporate’s Perth office, Antonios Papaspiropoulos has joined as general manager of commercial and investor relations.

Papaspiropoulos was most recently a columnist for Bauer Media. He has spent time as global lead for advocacy and communications for the Global CSS Institute and general manager of Effectus Marketing Group.

At Spoke Corporate, Papaspiropoulos will be overseeing the revamp of its investor and commercial e-magazine, Yield.

Derbyshire said: “Initially I was introduced to Antonios pre-COVID-19, and he was a natural fit given his established networks, commercial expertise and having run full-service PR and Marketing agencies in Melbourne and Auckland.

“We believe the local oil and gas sector, from operators to the supply chain, will benefit from Antonios’ insights having deployed Shell’s formative sustainable development program across Asia, managed a new market entry in the Ukraine, and led the Chevron team which got the green light for the Gorgon Project.”
