Sportsbet combats slow walkers in ‘Fast Lane’ campaign for NRL grand final
Over the NRL grand final weekend, Sportsbet set out to tackle the issue of slow walkers by creating a ‘Fast Lane’.
Labeled ‘No Slow Walkers’ The Fast Lane was designed to help those spectators who would prefer to power walk get to their destination faster and without slow walkers.
Created by Banter, the two 30 meter lanes were located on approach to ANZ Stadium.
Luke Waldren, general manager of marketing at Sportsbet, said in a statement: “Slow walkers are bloody annoying. We all know it. If you don’t, you’re probably one of them.
“Our lightning fast researchers told us that it’s most prevalent at the footy, so we’ve created a solution for those who can’t stand being held up by people that dawdle on the way to the big game.”
Saw this at the Grand Final, had no idea what it was about. Actually thought it was meant to be some sort of running race. Most people didn’t even glance at it, just walked across it. Campaign totally missed the mark.
