Sportsbet endorses doing less ahead of upcoming AFL and NRL seasons

Sportsbet has launched its new brand campaign in the lead up to the 2019 AFL and NRL seasons.

The campaign marks a new year of advertising from Sportsbet, after producing the most complained about ad of 2018.

The ad endorses Australians’ right to do less, and in placing a bet, using Sportsbet is the least you can do.

Tim Hernadi, Sportsbet general manager of marketing, said in a statement: “We’ve always believed in making things easier for our customers. It’s great to have a brand platform that allows us to demonstrate that whilst having a bit of fun.”

Charles Baylis, creative director at Deloitte Digital added: “Someone needed to stand up for our right to sit down. We’re just glad Sportsbet are brave enough to do it. In a world full of brands telling you to do stuff, it’s good to hear a voice that says Just Do It, Less.”

The campaign will be executed across brand and retail TV, print, online and outdoor.
