State of Origin II brings in the crowd again for Nine; metro viewers up year-on-year

State of Origin’s second game on Wednesday night continued to deliver for Nine following the first game’s ratings hit earlier this month, as the network secured close to 50% of the overall share.

The game last night saw the Maroons win 32-6 over the Blues, as Queensland sealed the series with victory over New South Wales. The match aired to 1.83 million metro viewers, while the pre-match slot brought in 915,000 metro viewers and 668,000 tuned in for the post-patch.
