Stephen Brook joins The Age as CBD columnist
Former The Australian media editor Stephen Brook has joined Nine’s The Age as its CBD columnist, working alongside Samantha Hutchinson. Hutchinson has moved to Sydney to anchor the column. Brook will relocate to Melbourne for the role.
Brook has been a regular contributor to The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald, as well as lending his byline to Crikey, Marie Claire and the Weekend Australian magazine.
Brook replaces Kylar Loussikian who left Nine’s papers to join News Corp’s The Australia as national chief of staff.
Time for the next chapter.
I am joining The Age as a daily columnist, and relocating to Melbourne.
I can't wait to get stuck in to the CBD column, think of it as a daily double shot of delight and amusement each morning. pic.twitter.com/VOlCjXebud— Stephen Brook (@ViscountBrooky) July 2, 2020
Brook is a former writer of The Australian’s Media Diary column, the creator and former host of the Behind the Media podcast and was press and publishing correspondent for The Guardian and deputy editor of MediaGuardian.co.uk in the UK.
Brook still regularly reports on the media industry across various outlets, including The Sydney Morning Herald and Crikey.
