Sterling Publishing boosts portfolio with acquisition of My Business assets

Sterling Publishing has picked up another title by acquiring the My Business brand and assets of products from SME Media, Mumbrella can reveal.

my business websiteCreated more than 20 years ago the My Business brand includes a print magazine, website, email newsletters and awards, while its media kit claims it has a readership of more than 100,000.

Sterling group publisher Alex Whitlock said in a statement: “The My Business brand is deeply rooted in Australia’s SME community and is the trusted source for intelligence, inspiration and motivation for business”. 

“Running an SME requires dedication and passion. It can be immensely satisfying, however, also challenging and emotionally taxing. For nearly a quarter of a century My Business has been the SME’s champion and we look forward driving the development of the brand in the years ahead.”

Sterling Media won B2B Publisher of the Year and Event of the Year at the 2015 Publish Awards. in 2014 it picked up the Lawyers Weekly title from Cirrus Media.My business

The acquisition follows Sterling Publishing relaunching The Institute of Public Accountants’ media brand, Public Accountant, last October, and the launch of its own title, Fintech Business, in June.
